Last night at the VITA 2015 Reception, the wireless industry celebrated connectivity and the power of mobility as a force for good. It was also an occasion to support the important work of The Wireless Foundation as well as recognize Senator John Thune with the first-ever Mobile Life Award for his commitment to fostering wireless innovation through effective public policy.
The evening’s master of ceremonies was NBC Washington’s Jim Handly, and featured music from DJ Scientific, a NASA scientist by day who travels across the country to get kids interested in STEM while Matt Stillwell closed the evening with an incredible live performance.
The Wireless Foundation’s VITA 2015 Reception was made possible through the generosity of Presenting Sponsor Qualcomm with the support of many of the wireless industry’s leading companies, including AT&T, Intel, Sprint and Verizon.
It was a great evening that highlighted some of the great efforts by The Wireless Foundation throughout the year, and the wireless industry’s important work in American communities.
